# 1 Fleet Tor'Kaht

I heard this is one of the best ships to have as a tactical captain. However, I really dislike how the original model looks like. I have become a big fan of the Qin Raptor, but really don't like how squishy it can be.

How customizable is the look for the Tor'Kaht? I heard it was the fleet Vor'cha. Is it possible to have it look like a Vor'cha?

Short Answer:- Yes

Long Answer:- There are three models:- the Vor'cha (default), the Vor'Kang (the Z-Store ship is a skin unlock when you purchase it) and the Tor'Kaht (the Fleet skin, used to be a Z-Store skin). You can customise to any of these varients.

Yes, you can make it look like the Vor'cha.

How does it compair against the T5 Vor'cha? Besides the hull and sheilds. I curious how the bridge layout changes its use, particularly in PvP. I have gotten use to playing the T5 Vor'cha and have gotten use to using it to tank. Does the swapping of BOFF slots change it that much?

yes. Yes it is.

an LTC Tac position makes it much more of an "Offense" player, and the uni position pretty much is the only spot you have to slot sciences, so you're not going to tank as well as you used to-but you'll have a hell of a lot more punch on the attack.

I play KDF, because being a genocidal maniac works better with Klingons, than explaining it as a member of Starfleet.

If you also get the Mirror Universe Vor'cha you can unlock the mirror skin for the Fleet Tor'kaht as well.

the Torkie looks pretty nice modded and in mirror - I wish I had need for the vor'kang so I could have a hammerhead tork...

Tor'Kaht is without a doubt my favorite Klingon ship. A cruiser with huge shields and hull that tanks like a beast but can still run dual heavy cannons and have the maneuverability to get guns on target properly.

Now sure, it won't spike DPS like a BoP or Raptor... but in most PvE the focus is on sustainability. Glass cannons generally don't work out too well b/c of the high damage abilities used by the Borg... specifically those almost invisible torpedoes that like to hit for 25k+.

When I think "Battlecruiser" I think Tor'Kaht.

I've flown the Tor'Kaht for 9 months now, and I find it easily the best DPS ship in the game for me. Even when I have ships like the Bug or the Scimitar, I always find my Tor'Kaht performs best at both DPS and survival. I use its natural survival tanking techniques from being a Cruiser and stab a Tac in it to utilise the Battle part of its name .

In terms of design, the Vor'cha's a classic, I hate the Vor'Kang because its so long and thin but I like the Tor'Kaht varient because its big and bulky, and doesn't have as many design vulnerabilities (such as exposed neck or pylons)

Not to mention it can run DEM3!
Gotta love tearing apart shield tanking escorts that aren't carrying any hull heals.
