# 1 The Fleet Negh'Var
08-29-2013, 07:11 AM
I haven't seen too many threads focused around the Fleet Negh'Var Heavy Battle Cruiser.

So, let's talk Negh'Var.

Anyone have builds they would like to share? Especially those regarding Aux2Bat.

The Fleet Neghvar accepts any build that the Vorcha, Fleet K'tinga, or Mirror Vorcha takes, as well as any build common to the Failaxy, Assault Cruiser, or Star Cruiser. You may also keep the original Failaxy layout if it amuses you. There's not really much that needs saying about it: It lacks any distinguishing characteristics that separate it from other related KDF battlecruisers, its only distinction being that it is capable of imitating all of them.

Here's one of DDIS's build's I'm aiming for on my Neghy:- http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/sh...&postcount=106

Great build, I'd suggest trying it . I could never get a Negh'var build as optimised as I wanted. I always performed good in it, but my playstyle was more Tor'Kaht.

Fleet Negh'var I'm going to get (once I round up the FM's to get it) and I am only using it on an Eng alt because I want to fly that ship specifically with that character. Negh'var is, in every possible way, superior to the Galaxy (in my opinion) simply because its a Klingon Battle Cruiser. So basically, if you decided to put a Galaxy build onto it, it'd perform a lot better in terms of DPS than Fed ship.

I'm pretty satisfied with that actually, the Negh'var should be the badass unkillable Battle Cruiser. It can't compare with the Tor'Kaht, but it still is capable of extremely effective damage.

Hi there,

My Gorn engineer currently flies a Ktinga retrofit in a build strongly influenced by DDIS's escort replacement Ktinga build. I enjoy it, but when I upgrade him to a fleet ship (i just did a different guy, but he's next), I plan on using a similar setup in a fleet Negh'var. Same thing, just bigger.

Later on,

I looked at the Fleet K'Tinga and it seems like a great ship. My only concern is the abnormally low hull rating, which I feel is very important.

IIRC the napkin-math I did on the difference between the two ships, it boils down to the Negh'var getting +25% hull relative to the K'tinga, at the cost of 3 points of turn rate. I don't think you can really go wrong either way; just a matter of what you prefer.

"Napkin math"! Ha, love it!

Nice summary. Negh'Var sounds better for me, since I'm probably going to be assuming a tanking role anyways.

these area all good, fun ships. and can be made to turn very well, mid to high 30s with turn consoles. from the dil mine you can get extra armor from them now too.

i should update all those older builds a bit. they are all a bit out of date since LoR

It's a KDF battlecruiser. I don't think it's possible to go wrong with it, and I think you'd have to try pretty hard to fail with one (as in you'd actually have to be trying to fail with it). Just saying.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.

That is actually easier than you think. Just fly into and aggro the largest group of enemies, don't shoot back, and don't use you powers.

In all seriousness, it is possible to die if you get caught with your pants down. It isn't too hard to stay alive in PvP as long as you don't get too cocky.
