# 1 9/12/2013 Windows update
09-12-2013, 06:14 AM
has anyone had a problem with windows update for 9/12/2013. with me my computer started flashing files and I did system restore and restarted then. it would not start and start up repair was stuck and wouldn't start. I finally got it resolved.
I had auto updated 22 window updates and im wondering if anyone had or having problem
It happened on my pc, g/f lap top and woman that works with g/f.
I just wondering if this is just us or if it wide spread. my fleet is not reporting anything as the ones that are on do not use windows. I use windows 7. g/f uses windows vista. the worker don't know what she uses.

any information about this would be appreciated.

Yikes.

I had no trouble with the update, however. I'm using Win7 x64.

At least you were able to resolve the issue, I presume by system restore?

I didn't. The updates installed cleanly last night during shut down and I had no trouble starting up this morning.

Yes I am having a problem as well.

One of the updates (Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites KB2760411) will not seem to install properly.

Everytime the computer shuts down and restarts, within 10 minutes it reports it again as a important update. The update history page shows it has successfully installed 3 times now, and is up again....

Ran Microsoft FixIt on last go round but no change.

Got to go so will have to try and figure this out later.....
I used to have f/x, till my video card took a S9 to the knee...

Can't you go to the configuration screen, open windows update and set the specific update to be ignored?

ah last, I got company. you know how misery likes company.

sytem restores seems to work. but do not let the updates reinstall. as for getting pc or computer to start from a cycle of repair press alt, ctrl, delete it will or should start pc after the restore.

stoutes. when you get computer to work you can do that. but if you have auto update on it too late and have to get fixed to do the singleing out of updates. I have it set now that it has to ask to update.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and haven't noticed any problems.

However Microsoft screwed something up royally again. http://tech.slashdot.org/story/13/09...tomatic-update

So I doubt you are imagining things.
