I'm actually very surprised to hear about all of the downtime. I played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for at least five consecutive hours (or longer) each time with only one server communication error. I also played on Tuesday - Thursday of last week with no difficulties what-so-ever and played for several hours at a time. Perhaps I'm just lucky and should count my blessings, but I'm thoroughly enjoying my time in the STO universe and am extremely pleased with this purchase and subsequent subscription.

I hope for those that are continuing to encounter issues, that your patience remains steadfast and true. I'd imagine, like me, you've waited a tremendous length of time for a Star Trek oriented MMOG. I can certainly empathize with your frustrations, just hang in there!

Take care, Sampy

3 BSD? I wuold have to say at least half the problem is with yuor computer. I run this game under windws 7 and Vista, and have not had 1 BSD since I started playing when Head start began.

As far as BSD goes, Cryptic has done well making a VERY stable game. At least for me.

I do have to say that I build my own computers, I dont use that proprietary crap they call *ells, or *p's.

Speaking of mammaries (I'm of course referring to your sig), I don't really see why they don't make the game slightly more adult. I'm thinking mostly themes and missions and such. I remember another thread somewhere that commented on the fact that Kirk seemed to philander across the galaxy on the original show. Never having seen it, I can't comment, but I say this: Any prepubescent teen that's laid eyes on either Jeri Ryan or Jolene Blalock has gotten an inkling that the characters might doing more than opening hailing frequencies if this wasn't tv. Star Trek on HBO would be an entirely different show I'm sure

'sigh' yet another evening of 'server not responding'. Only ever seems to happen about 8pm AEST, possibly when everyone in the US is starting to log on maybe but if this doesn't sort out soon I'm gonna can my sub for at least 6 months till its sorted out. Plenty of other games out there, just a pity cause this has plenty of potential. I'd hate to see it fail in the first 6 months simply because of tech issues.

Be nice to see a post from the Devs on whether this is gonna get sorted. Last I saw, it was an issue with the new servers.

'The new servers are actually what is causing the problems ;-) We had to move some of the shard core servers off the new, faster boxes because they keep exploding (randomly losing network connectivity for a fraction of a second)' Post from Coderanger on the 14th.

An update on this would be nice...

Sorry that in your PERFECT world something that is supposed to be fun did not turn out up to YOUR PERSONNAL EXPECTATIONS. Since they are not paying you to play you should be patient with cryptic. You knew from the get go there would be bugs. If you say otherwise you are a bold face LIAR AND A FAKE. So in closing enjoy the game for what it has so far. They have said it will get better. Sorry that your PERFECT WORLD was crushed.

you can like this game or not but like lots of people say is the ugly truth the game is for the momment below standard and riddeld with bugs and not woth the money we pay for it.
true that it probebly all get fixed i due time but solong they opend this game to public and earn money on it they are responcible for making this game work proper and for the momment nobody can claim that they do a good job about it.
also how its looking now is that cryptic is getting loads of cancelations but maybe this is a good thing signal and they get back to work on the game that after the release drop to a halt , because this gonna be a dead fish in the water if they dont and this would be a very sad thing
because we all love star trek and want a great game but you cant blaim customers for having a critic view on it because they payed good money for the product so they deserve quality.
people who claim that they never have any issue with this game before are just complete ignorend , but first of all Cryptic should keep us better informed , about bugs and the process etc.. etc.. etc.. and they really need to get to work on the tickets leaving people hanging with there problems is really bad customer suport and give us a we dont give a **** about you as long you pay feeling.

so get your ass in gear cryptic

Dude this one isn't even REMOTELY as rocky off the start as WoW or Everquest 1.

You couldn't play WoW for the first 2 weeks due to crashs and massive lag.

That being said I loved playing GI JOE on the C64.

Yea the game is lacking in Content big time ...but hey .. how the heck do I level down ... because I cant level up ... how long is this intended to be playable.

I think it is a good SINGLE PLAYER game ... so my box purchase was fine ... I get to play it for a month ..but I am not subscribing to it just to play the same old thing over again ..just this time .. with other ships to shoot.

Also what is up with Exploration ... there is nothing explory about it! its the same thing as anything else.

Good luck ... I am back to EvE Online .. now that's a game ... And yes I did play it from open beta too!

Regards all Enjoy your dejavue!
