Okay,

The gauntlet is thrown down and I challenge the best players to share their secrets to the most over-the-top, obscenely powerful build with top DPS. PvE is the only concern here and max DPS. Please share, build, skill points, boffs, doffs and and anything else that comes to mind. ACT logs / screenshots are recommended but anyone can post their build.

Since my tac / vesta can only manage around 13 - 15K DPS, I won't bother posting mine. Also, this isn't an underhanded attempt to steal your PvP secrets btw ... since it is only for PvE.

Come on share ... and help your fellow captain.

The blank weapon is the quad plasma
The blank console is the 2p that makes up the quad plasma bonus.

Remains to be seen if the quad plasma is worth it. If it turns out it isn't then a dc rom plasma in place of the quad and a bio neural infusion console in place of the quad plasma bonus console.

3 technicians. 1 marion. And a warp core engineer.

That right there is the top of the top...if there's something better I'd be blown away

Edit: forgot boffs

Romulan captain, 4 superior rom operatives. 1 superior infiltrator (one with superior subterfuge((if that exists))

I would switch the cannons to beams and FAW tbh but otherwise good build. It's what my scimi was. Oh and run EptE maybe as it helps get places faster.

It is through repetition that we learn our weakness.
A master with a stone is better than a novice with a sword.

Has damage got out of control?
This is the last thing I will post.

Is DEM really worth trading a tac ltc for eng ltc? I mean I could see it for a more balanced durable escort but for top end DPS? I am just curious ... not trying to argue!

i think you are getting a wrong idea of the build...he uses the ltdcmdr engi for the aux2batt build and the DEM and marion doff are just the cherry ontop.
The DEM enhanced alpha out of cloak with this ship is probably the most deadly alpha you can wish for in STO.
combined with the PERFECT getaway (shields while cloaked)

the infiltrator trait is the player version of subterfuge and unique to remans. http://sto.gamepedia.com/Trait:_Infiltrator
but you can have each of your 5 superior operative romulans have subterfuge...although i think it doesn't stack beyond 2 or so, not sure.

personally i don't care much about the omega set, but i see it brings some benefits too to offensive builds. Although i'd go with elite fleet shields and 2xpiece assimilated set.
Go pro or go home

With aux2bat, there isn't any need for any more tact abilities.

Also, dem+marion gives proc that increases energy drain resistance by 200% for 8 secs. This makes each canon hit high rather then succumbing to energy drain weakening.

Also dem simply adds damage to each shot. There was testing done in the dem mechanics thread where the results showed dem continues to add damage even when no shield is present.

As far as I'm concerned dem is the most powerful boost to straight damage for engineer boff abilities sans eptw

I imagine the DEM itself matters less than the Marion enhancement, particularly since so many PVE targets are shieldless. All that firepower with no drain, and the dual A2B shredding the DEM's otherwise-long cooldown. Its practically DIY Nadion Inversion.
