Unique doff that reduces consoles cool downs by 50%

50% is too much.

Something much lower and with a small chance for it to proc on activation of console ability would be more preferable.

Maybe something along the lines of "5% chance to reduce cooldown of console abilities by 15% on activation of any console ability." as a starting point. I still think that is generous.

Unique consoles often have 3-5 or MORE minute cooldowns. 50% is indeed a good idea. For boff skills it would be far too often. Just say "50% -- but will not reduce cooldown below 1 minute" or some such to give it a minimum "global" to work with.

Was thinking 1 doff only. Not able to stack, and yes the thought was for the 3-5minute cd ones that everyone would like to use more often

How about a DOFF that does the same as the Miracle Worker trait? has a chance to completely reset the console ability. Say 1% or 2% chance maybe but requires a complete cooldown if it procs and the console is used.

But yeah with those real long cooldowns a small chance of having it reduced by 50% would be nice and I might even slot one of the many consoles I dont use anymore because of the cooldowns, but as a limit it should still have the one use only until a complete cooldown like Miracle worker does regardless of its % chance to proc.

phaser lance blows due to missing most times and super long cooldown. Autocannon on Bortas sucks big time because you position for 1 shot and then never can use it on a moving target again, even IF it cools down (which also takes forever). Even though it HITS more than phaser lance it still rather sucks for damage. Won't 1-shot even the weaker targets in the game so it's not a massive threat to lower the CD on it a tad!

A lot of these consoles take way too long compared to the end result they give.

I can support the idea; it'd turn some of the 'innate' ship abilities from little more than backgroud fluff to something actually effective...

Flipside of it all is; you'd have people complaining about how now PDS consoles and the like are unbeatable, overpowered, etc...

A point to fix: All universal consoles that provide a power have somewhat recently-ish been uniformed to all 3 minutes. The only exception that I know of is the Vet ship console, which is still 5 minutes for each of it's two powers.
