I'm not one to give into complaining... Usually...
But I couldn't really play today because every time I tried to log the server happened to be down, expectedly or not ... And when I could play I got deco'ed quite a few times.
And now, as a last attempt, tried to go back, had to wait in a queue for half an hour, and when I finally got in, saw a chat message saying "someone told me the server is going offline".
As I mumbled a "oh not again !" I got disconnected. Server down.
uggg.. took me 30 min of q. to log in then i get the msg.. servers will go offline in 10 min...
i had a similar expierence after spending two days downloading and patching... i sincerely hope cryptic has a ton more server power than this or i'm afraid we're all in for some "Good Times" once ppl who bought the game on the 2nd load up to get in... did somebody say you are 10,000 in line out of 250,000?
Haha they will get it right eventually. Launches are rough. We have all seen the quality of the game when it is actually up and running, so we know its worth pushing through the initial garbage for. I do however, wish they would update the website with ship stats and what not so I have something to read and think about while I wait =P
At least you're in a que... I logged n this afternoon and picked up a freaky issue that caused me to have to re-install and spend the rest of the day patching (aprox 4:30pm GMT log on - it's now 11:44pm and i'm still patching).
r u using steam to launch your game client..? if so stop you might already know about this but if not its s cryptic steam moving install folder issue.. cryptic cannot find it so it downloads the client again and heres the kicker,, steam does all over again.. I had 45+ gb doenload beciuase of cryptic *** wits and steam move game files to seperat dir, then change install reg key in hk\user\softwarecryptic\ to that dir. run client and be happy
