Same equipment with the consoles moved around (exchange one mag reg for the avengers special console)

It did over 13k DPS in an infected run.

This ship.... hits like a freight train in PvE, and a beam build is going to be even crazier.
That's an interesting build with some serious Borg stomping potential. I would consider adding Aux2Batt in one of your eng slots if you have blue or better technician doffs.

I can see the ship being a fine beam boat. If I owned one, I would throw on a set of fleet advanced Andorian beam arrays dmgx2 accx2, one dbb to give those big cannon ports up front something to do, wide angle quantum up front, and maybe tractor or web mines in back for pvp, quantum or tricobalt for STFs.

Thanks for clarifying that, Brandon. JamJamz usually gets much of the shipbuilding credit, so this took me by surprise. I wonder who it is. Imagine how interesting it would be if there were occasional dev interview blogs that spotlights some of the lesser known members of the team. So often we hear from dstahl or Geko, but what about these other mysterious artists behind the scenes, hm?

Put me in the group satisfied with the size of the Avenger.
Actually, to me that's one of the best things about it. It's reasonably sized, like the majority of Starfleet starships. Maybe it could have been just a tad larger, but it really is fine as it is. Some comparisons may be confusing, like the Akira someone mentioned, but do consider that in Star Trek canon, the ship qualifications are not cruiser/escort/science vessel. In Star Trek all Starfleet ships were type of cruisers with the exception of the Defiant that was classified as an escort. So the Akira can be considered a sort of cruiser.

And the TNG and post TNG Romulans were portrayed as quite paranoid amongst other things, so the huge designs of their ships manifest this. There's no reason to have Fed. ships the size of a D'D or Scimitar or for that matter larger than the Oddy.
Also from a practical perspective - it's the first and only Fed. battlecruiser. It's bound to be very popular amongst the players. Do you really want thoulsands of these the size of Mogai or D'D?? "You shall not pass", mt. lol
Because true Starfleet Captains command Exploration Cruisers!
Thank you Cryptic for finally giving me MY SHIP!!!

Personally, I love the look of the Avenger. It looks awesome and it looks mean.
YOU love the Avenger design, good.

I hate it, why shouldn't i be allowed to say that?
I don't speak for anyone else, why do so many ppl think i would?

Still my question is, are we going to get additional ship parts for the Avenger OR NOT?

I never wanted the Avenger to be a behemoth larger than the Odyssey. I just expected it to at least be the same size as an assault cruiser, just because it's really chunky etc. Just the fact its the same length as my warp nacelle just thought it was weird.

Right now it doesn't look intimidating like I expected it's just so small.

Kitbashes, yes please! The looks of the belly and the deflector are awefull. For the first time I've found the borg deflector modifications more appealing then the ships own deflector.

The size reminds me of the Vesta. Can't go wrong with making it a bit bigger, like the assault cruiser for example.

The little pointy things in the front of the saucer look weird, but OK.

I fully support adding more parts to work with in the ship customizer.

Thanks!
Chroniton and Quantum Armament Projectile explosions are enhanced by consoles, powers or skills that would otherwise enhance Chroniton or Quantum projectile damage. Tachyon Armament explosions are not affected by any in-game consoles, powers or skills.

Just curious as I'm buying mine when my money clears at the bank in the next few hours.
