Naming Ships: A Window Into Guitar's Soul

Well, for my main, I went with "Dumas" and all Dumas characters (Athos, Monte Christo, etc). For my Jimi Hendrix borg character, all Jimi songs. For my thundercat, Ship of Omens works (and snarfer for my shuttle). My first KDF toon had all ships named for hurting tribbles (Tribblebane, Tribblepunter, Tribbleslapper, etc). My gorn rolls around with "Gorn to be Wild" and my GIJoe inspired toon's ship is "Polly" which makes sense if you know the show.

Most of mine are thematic as well...

Captain Murphy of the USS Sealab 2021
Raoul Duke of the IKS Golf Shoes
Baroness of the IKS Springfield (GI Joe themed)
Blowtorch of the IKS Porkchop Sandwiches (also GI Joe themed)
I have the USS Interdictor, just because the build for it is centered on gravity well (Star Wars BS)
Ini Kamoze of the IKS Hotstepper (I'm the lyrical gangsta)

probably my favorite one:
F'resh Prin'ce of the IKS B'el Air (Bel A'ir if he's flying the carrier... if he's in the retrofit, it's the B'rel Air)
or my LeVar Burton tribute toon, Kunta Kinte LaForge of the USS Reading Rainbow

I'm not really into the themes thing,so my ships are named usually as they come. And I do change them at times. My main ship,which I think I'm keeping the name,is the U.S.S Randolph Scott...

Although my first toon doesn't share the theme.
The ship and crew is my Starship Trooper theme: USS Roger Young, crewed by Dizzy, Carmen and the gang
My next was the B5 theme. Admiral John Sheridan on the Agamemnon. Of course BOs include Ivanova and Gerabaldi...

I have alot of it recorded, but would like to see it all the way through again.
