Wouldn't it be more fun and feel less weird if we could sit in our commanders seat and navigate space on the screen.

Yes it would be great as long as the silly blue highways and grids were removed. Just some stary space would be fine with me.

Unfortunately, it'll NEVER happen because of the way Cryptic handles instances. Your bridge is an instance, so it has no way of displaying what's in another instance.

I'd love it if we beamed to our bridge from bases in friendly locations so we could navigate home or after a battle there was a benefit in going to the bridge to co-ordinate repairs or re-assign people to sick bay or fix the warp core...

There is plenty of immersion missing from this game, we have a good combat sim but I don't see how they can have watched ST and not had On Screen
