As per the title.

I leveled a Romulan engineer and allied him with the KDF, I want to level a Romulan science officer and ally that character with the Federation. Just in case I want to actually play the character some more after reaching cap I wanted to find out what ships other Rommie scientists are using.

I was considering the T'varo or the Dhelan, but I was also thinking the Tulwar version of the Scimitar might be nice. You can't get Commander level powers with any of these ships, but you can at least get Lt Commander.

I know there's the Ha'nom.. but.. no..

My Fed-Allied Romulan science officer is flying a Legacy Pack Mogai-class warbird. It is maneuverable and durable and it has 'the looks', so to speak. I don't intend to swap ships anytime soon, or only for a brief time.

Nice. I hadn't considered that because the lack of a science or universal Lt Cmdr slot, but I do like the tactical layout of the Mogai. How well do your science captain abilities mesh with it?

Haha! I was thinking of doing something similar with either the T'varo or the Dhelan.

I also briefly considered the Ar'Kif.. but to use it's Lt Cmdr slot for science would leave me with the ability to only use one ensign engineering power; could be interesting but I doubt it would work very well. The D'deridex would also be a well rounded option since it has a Lt Cmdr science slot, but I already use a Fleet D'deridex on my Rom Engineer.

I dunno about the Official Efficiency of it all, but its just hilarious to fly. Bunch them up with the Gravity Well, sensor scan to lot, then hit them with the Spread 3 followed by the Destabilized Plasma Torp, makes such a wonderful mess. My current record is a 244k hit, but that was with 5 people super-stacking debuffs on a tac cube, so obviously not an average hit, but it was awesome. If you were to do serious PVP and PVE-DPSing, the Fleet Dhelan's 5th tac console and boff layout is probably mathematically superior, but the T'varo and its consoles are just so much fun.

The freebie carrier for the most part. And the freebie science oriented warbird when that gets dull.

I'd say the Mogai. I mean it's already science oriented, and the fleet version looks like a BA.

That's the same setup I use too. I keep trying to do something else, but I keep coming back to that same setup.

I just added the Spatial Charge Launcher console and loving that too. I usually get 17k x5 and more if the shields are down.

I flew the Ha'nom first but wasn't happy with the role. Then I switched to the Daeinos for awhile using the universal LtCmdr slot for a Sci BOff but that started to feel too squishy. I played with the Obelisk Carrier for a bit, but got frustrated by the slow movement of the ship. Now I'm back in the Ha'nom for another attempt at a science build.

I haven't used my veteran token for a Tier 5 retro/refit yet. It's a frustrating choice. This is the first Science character I've put time into, so I'm still learning.

I sometimes fly the Ar'Kif with just the single ensign eng slot. I enjoy it a lot, the fighters help compensate for not having Aux2Batt but its weapons are not as strong as an Aux2Batt build. That should be expected when leaning towards Sci though. The Dhelan is what I flew before the carrier and the difference is negligible.

I get an extra CC in the carrier with Target engines and in the Dhelan I would get an extra Hull heal that I don't often use in PvE.

TSS, Ep2S, HE and Singularity powers are more than enough for PvE missions. For PvP I jump into the T'varo and never look back
