Do you think the higher Dil price is due to the relative ease with which one can complete the Dyson Rep ?
Thinking that's what they did... Made the Rep easier to complete, but bumped the cost of the Rap items..
The only difference between this set and the other reputation sets is that it has a Warp Core as part of the set. If the devs ever added Warp Cores to the other sets, then they would cost about the same. The price for each set piece has a similar dilithium cost. Besides, unlike the other sets, you can start working on them sooner instead of waiting to Tier 5.
I'm not breaking up any of the sets I already have (*), so if they want me grinding for a new one, it'll have to be a combination of consoles, DHCs, and turrets. All Antiproton-centric or cover-all generic, too.
I'm more disappointed that the Dyson set doesn't buff polaron damage, what with the reputation weapons being protonic polarons. I'd get the Dyson shield and keep the Dominion engines and deflector(which buffs polarons too). The Dyson warp core is crap without an [AMP] modifier and the two piece set bonus isn't worth using the core and the shield. And Proton Barrage and Reactive Shielding aren't worth giving up the 13% bonus to polaron damage.
