It'd be great if there's a future time travelling episode of STO which takes the player back to the 2370's. It'd give us an excuse to doll out our characters in the FC/DS9 and Bajoran Militia uniforms. I enjoyed dressing up my characters in Starfleet uniforms for the mission back to the 23rd century so to get the opportunity to do the same for a mission in to DS9's past would be awesome!
You actually don't really need time travel. The Bajoran Militia is still existent, it's just reduced to policing/planetary defense duty. But in "Second Wave", the Bajoran security officers on DS9 are clearly Bajoran Militia personell. I bet they still have a few ships around And the DS9 uniform set gives you an in-game explanation that it IS the latest gear used by Starfleets Gamma-quadrant-task force. So the "old" Uniforms are still around. I'd love to see that they update the different operative groups of starfleet to wear different uniforms in-game instead of the ugly default ones
I'd love to see some more off-duty options. Say, shore leave clothes, like the natives wear on Risa, or at the very least more than the one shirt, one jacket, and one robe we have now. Mercenary wear doesn't get it, either. Seriously, I remember when I was in the service, off-duty clothes were as far from our uniform look as we could get. T-shirts, halter tops, flannel, heck, almost ANYTHING that looks comfortable, relaxing, and NOT LIKE A UNIFORM. And don't forget shorts, skirts, dresses, slacks, sweats, (those pants the Risan men wear are pretty nice), running suits, bikinis and swim trunks, the list goes on....
Can't complain too much about the uniform selections, except for the pants. Pajamas, cargo pants, or leggings? That's it? Seriously, you have gorgeous shirts, so why not make pants to match? The only way for a female character to not look like she's well-dressed on top, and a grunger on bottom, is to wear a skirt. That's not what I'd expect from a military organization. I haven't tried dressing up a male character yet, so I'm only speaking from experience with the female ones, but that's bad enough.
