Engines say efficient at high power levels, does that mean actual power into engines or throttle? Fleet has given both answers.

In Beta I heard that high power levels meant full impulse, whereas low power levels meant anything below that. I couldn't find any way to test that theory for sure, though.

In OB, high power levels to engines (75+ from memory) with hyper-impulse engines resulted in increased speed compared to normal engines. Same for Combat Engines below about 30 power in engines.

It means if you operate your engines at a very high or very low power allocation, you get better performance from that type of Engine
