Ah well. If that's your opinion. Has nothing to do with the topic, but on yours, I happen to think the cover mechanic is pretty darn smart. and if you look at any decent episode of star trek that involves a lot of phaser fire, they use cover.

No offense, but the graphics in STO aren't much better, for being a 2010 MMO.
I'm very happy with DX10/11 in ME2

Yes please! I hate mobs running up to me and rubbing their crotch in my face while I spam rifle butt, it's not one bit 'Star Trek' and I'd love to be able to take cover (or at least have mobs tweaked so they don't close to melee all the time).
