I have Star Trek Online installed via STEAM.

I double click the icon, and it says "preparing to launch". That disappears then a moment later I am met with the following error:

"The procedure entry point GetPerformanceInfo could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL"

I encounter this error running ALL executable within the \star trek online\Star Trek Online\Live\ folder AND running the game from STEAM.

Thanks for the assistance

Windows XP, Service Pack 3. The latest updates have been applied

EDIT: The "title" to the error window is "Entry point not found"

EDIT2: I believe this morning I fell victim to the "re-downloading bug" as it took a long time to download the 70mb patch and was coming down at 1.1mb/s

You should not see that error unless you are on something earlier than XP according to MSDN. You may want to check for a rouge copy of the DLL somewhere on your system in case it got transferred from an older machine or somesuch.

Hi CodeRanger. A fresh install fixed that issue but now I am stuck "Connecting to the account server" and it times out. I ran the net-test program suggested to other users, the traffic went through each port at 130kb/s or thereabouts and the ping was 250ms. No congestion on my lines.
