It was always my understanding that the traits that effect skill added a % bonus based on the skill bonus so:

Say you max out a skill and it gives a 30% bonus to whatever, and you have a trait that adds 10% to that skill, then you get a total bonus of 33% (the 30% from skill + (30 x 10%)) It's not much, but when you're talking about stacking % bonuses, everything adds up.

It also means if you have no points in the skill, no bonus, and if you only have a couple of points then the bonus is almost unnoticable.

Dev clarification would be nice on this one, though.

Just tested this and seemed like I got this:

With Trait:

At rank 5 of the skill:
53/53/53/53
At rank 5 you get +15
Trait claims it is +10
Profile menu shows: 25 (leading me to believe it's not +10% but +10 skill)

Without Trait:

At rank 5 of the skill:
51/51/51/51
At rank 5 you get +15
Profile menu shows: 15

So it does seem to make a difference. Thanks for helping guys now at least I had an idea on how to gather data on it.

That's interesting to know. Means you get more benefit from the skill traits at lower levels of training than the higher levels because of the diminishing returns.

Thanks for following up on this one.
