Also, you don't just sit there slapping 1, you're supposed to combine your abilities with your weapon attacks.
So asking for autofire back-at least to me-seems kind of silly.
That's the wonder of it being optional. If you do not like it, no sweat, you don't have to use it. Personally, I like it, and I want more of it for space weapons. All optional of course, would not want to offend you l33t hardcore folk out there...
I agree. There needs to be full auto attack capabilty after the intial attack. Otherwise, you are just going to have folks wind up with Repetive Stress Disorder, and they will cancel subs. Why should it be painful to play a game, or risk surgery?
And for the nay sayers, its us older gamers who are dealing with this condition now as a result of playing the old arcade games where smashing buttons as fast as you can helped you to stay alive (Galaga ftw).
Some people have commented that it's stupid because it interferes with other abilities or, did I read somthing about, "who want's auto-fire as default attack?". Uhm, you still have to initiate the firing at a target, and you can stop firing at the target by pressing the key again...
I can't state enough how much I agree with this. The lack of ground autofire adds NOTHING AT ALL to the game. If it's the same arguement re space combat having limited autofire (more interactive) it's a load of tosh.
Just repeatedly slapping a key to do basic attacks is going back years in MMO design and frankly irritating.
For people who don't want autofire because it's making it awkward for them to fire off other abilities when they want it coulod always be turned off.
