I would like to answer your question... with a questions...

Show starts, the ship receives a distress signal, 2 parsecs away and starts to warp...
... Ship flys by warping ...
... continues warping ...
... continues warping ...
... commercial ...
... continues warping ...
... continues warping ...
... tune in next week when we might reach the distressed signal ...
... roll credits ...

This would be what a show based on your idea of STO would be like.

Real Star trek:
Show starts, the ship receives a distress signal, 2 parsecs away and starts to warp...
... Ship flys by warping ...
... Ship arrives at distressed signal ...
... Commercial ...
... Captain analyzes determines world fate is doom unless BO can do miracle ...
... Captain tells BO to do miracle, BO has self doubts, Captain insists ...
... BO does miracle and saves universe ...
... Captain makes witty remark ...
... Roll credits ...

In Star Trek you never see the expanse of space, you only see small areas and long distance travel is not shown, it is basically "faded to black" then "fade back in" when the destination is reached.

I really feel Cryptic did a great job at presenting the Star Trek experience.:p

Which would you rather watch?

The above two fights I should not have won in Eve, ship is not everything. Turn off that EFT please.

Well, I think you maybe right when pointing at the commercials. But I would rather not watch the "Deep Space Border" neon at all times, I won't buy it anyway.

No, I was responding to the guys pointing out all what they think are such great things about EVE. Not "wigging out"

Why are you even comparing EVE and STO they are almost totally different on every lvl other than they both have ships and something the game calls "space"
