Need some clarification, Had a person in kerrat accept my duel over cracked. He was romulan, i was on klink non cloaker.
I wait over cracked and he uses decloaked alpha. Not complianing about that i wanted him to use all his tricks. it doesnt kill me so i proceed to use go down fighting and aPa that takes him down to 2%...
He "moves" beyond 10m and then cloaks. and then over Chat stating that i gave up since after he cloaked he didn't come back so i went back to the main area. I don't even mind people going out of 10m range it happens sometimes. But did i have a valid point in saying he ran since he cloaked to avoid death?

About the only thing folks might agree on is that it's best to set up the rules beforehand - because generally speaking, nobody's going to agree on the rules otherwise.

Would be interesting, perhaps, to get a stickied thread on the forums here with various rules - then folks could just refer to some short name or acronym for the rules they intend to fight by...with that handy reference of the particular rules on the forums.

Otherwise...meh...it's Ker'rat. That folks didn't jump in unknowningly or to troll...is kind of surprising these days.

He was about to explode so moved out of range & failed to re-engage. To put it simply, you won the duel.

Again, what were the agreed upon rules? There's little doubt that you're going to find many folks that say you "won" - and even in what I'm saying, I'm not saying that you didn't. (Not that he cloaked to avoid death, not that he went beyond 10km to avoid death...but c'mon, he went outside of 10km and then cloaked - it's tough to think otherwise, eh?)

But still, without agreed upon rules before the start - how can one really say...? One side agreeing to rules the other has not, even one side having a bunch of folks that might agree with them - doesn't really make it so.

Think about all the various things we see folks complain about taking place in a 1v1...tends to lend itself to harsh words, harsh feelings, and though at times it can be mildly (or even highly) entertaining - it generally doesn't do much for the community, does it?

It would be nigh impossible to get folks to agree on a single set of rules (lol, historically some of the rules discussion threads on the forums have had more PvP in them than the game itself) - but if folks could agree on various levels or groupings of rules, well - folks could refer to them...perhaps have a quick way to set rules up before such a 1v1 takes place.

Of course, a Ker'rat 1v1 is going to be a much looser engagement than an actual challenge match. Between resets and interlopers, it is what it is...

...but again, with all the complaints - well, if folks agreed to something beforehand - oh well...

Really, it looks like a draw. You wanted him to use all his tricks except...one? Cloaking?

Be serious. And stop calling them tricks. Is a stronger hull a 'trick'? No it is a design.

If he didn't come back well he didn't come back. Sort of silly on his part seeing as how by the time he waited out your GDF trick his alpha would be up...and your GDF trick wouldn't be.

See what I did!? I called GDF a trick! LOL I'm a wit!

And whoever won the ensuing PVP zone chat would be the one that didn't participate in it.

So. If you honestly care. Realize that your own statements in the OP are biased. Strongly. And inconsistent. For example 'all tricks except cloaking'. Calling them 'tricks' in the first place whereas 'GDF' is an all pro skill boat tactic.

Think about your approach to this situation. Twice so far you've gone to outside sources to validate yourself. Once in zone, and now here. You may wish to reconsider this.

Virus has a firm grip on a solution to this. I vote him for Forum Presidente!

Only made this thread to see if there was some well known rule in the pvp community, Due to Him stating that i quit by leaving the area after waiting for him to decloak and start up again which he did not. Tricks may have been a poor word. Abilities. I don't even mind recloaking during the fight but not to flee. But it's just one of those things where people are going to have to agree to disagree. And on a side note the matter is settled Another challenge was refused because that person did state his build is not good at 1v1.

Right there, imho, your care factor about it should have been at zero. Should have been something written off as potential trolling...the guy leaves the area, cloaks, and then states you quit because you left. C'mon...not that I recommend anybody make fun of somebody else, but that's the kind of thing that somebody would have ripped him apart in zone over - and - provided some entertainment for the rest of the folks.
