Wow, it must have been horrible for you...I mean, you had to wait 26 hours for the game to crash before you could start screaming about how it's a failure <LOL>.

If this was scheduled, they should have given in game announcements servers were about to go down. I know for me it seemed to be getting a little unstable; longer times to zone and all that. But, I'm not an MMO noob. I've yet to play a game that DIDN'T crash on launch. Heck, some crashed within minutes of coming on <LOL>.

I said this in another thread, and I will say it here.....

Anyone expecting a new MMORPG to work perfectly even in its first month, let alone first few days needs to get a reality check.

Many of the people *****ing, I am sure have never played an MMORPG before, or at least not at its release.

3:00 AM <-- Not PM, I don't think this downtime is scheduled

I think his comment was on the fact that they are working on server stability on patch, so they know there are issues.

I just find myself worried. If the servers cant even handle just the preorder traffic; imagine how bad it is going to get on the real Launch date?

It's not that bad compared to most other MMo launches I have taken part in. The first four days of **** were nothing but a constant rubberband and disconnect cycle. One disconnnect and one server crash is under par.

I will post a simple question..

Is it too much to ask for the server to run for 24 hours without crashing at least one time?

Maybe the CB guys remember a solid 24 hour period without a crash but I dont from OB on to the present.

I may go along with the "its beta" and this is just "headstart" but come on surely in 2 years of development getting the server to run for 24 hours at least once with a population logged in shouldnt be to hard to ask for.. and considering i dont see any difference in the stability now vs OB when we was on "shared" servers vs " our own" server. I have to call BS and feel they havent improved a thing except for a few bug fixes and to be honest I have zero faith that we arent on the same shared server with CO still.

I suspect that they are using this to determine how much hardware to order.

No manager ever gives a developer what he really wants.
