# 1 Happy Veterans Day
11-11-2013, 01:58 AM
Although the Dastardly Notorious Double Headed Dragon Snake is busy being the antagonist that is expected of all true Cardassians. I wanted to be the first one to wish all of my brothers and sisters past and present.

Happy Veterans Day

And thank you from the bottom of my heart for the service and sacrifice you make for our nation on a daily basis. I'm not sure if other countries have the same holiday, but it doesn't matter. Veterans in any uniform sacrifice for their nations so today is for every veteran regardless of nationality.

BACK TO BEING ME

Now don't get mushy Federation types; We aren't buddies till Cardassia is free from bondage.

Who knows, maybe Cryptic will give me a Veterans Day gift of a playable Cardassian faction. (well, its a thought).

MMOs aren't charities. Corporations are supposed to make a profit. It's what they do.

No one deserves your thank you more then a man or woman in uniform, and no one deserves a prayer and a moment of silence from your respect then a man or woman with a flag over their coffin.

Thank you, peoples. Nice to be appreciated. Regardless of which country someone wears the uniform for. And to all those who didn't rotate back to The World - We miss you, guys. The world is a little sadder and smaller without you. But since you went on ahead, I know everything will be okay when I get there.
Save me a space at the table and a beer or two in Fiddler's Green, Trooper.

I would like to add for your consideration: Police, Fire, and EMT.

They serve in uniform as well. And they get noticed not nearly as much. I rode around in an Abrams in the 1st Gulf War and Bosnia. I will not ever have the courage it takes to walk up to a darkened automobile at 2AM, deliberately walk into a house on fire, or aid someone in clear medical distress with no idea beforehand what is wrong.

So in addition to thanking us vets, please go and tell one of these how much we appreciate their service as well. They are there every day. With no fanfare, parades, or free food today.
Does anyone here remember when we used to look forward to playing STO after the weekly patch?

Having fun while playing a game is OP. Plz nerf. Oh. You already did.
