The Hotspur because she was Horatio Hornblower's first command as Captain.

The only sloop with a quarterdeck in His Majesty's Navy.

USS Zero Gravitas
Because I am experiencing a considerable lack of the stuff.
Nice to see other people using Banksian names.

U.S.S. Galient, from an old drawing of a Starfleet ship that I made, and it'll be the name and likeness of the type of ship that Voyager crew manned, didn't like that series; liked the ship.

U.S.S. Epson, just sounded cool

U.S.S. K'Ehleyr, yes I have a klingon Starfleet charactor. I named the ship after Worf's first mate, what a beauty and a tragic end to her charactor

My ships are named after sites of famous battles or encampments. Currently using USS Bastogne. I have also used Stones River and Valley Forge. The Klingon one I just made up.

USS Sejun'No and Sebun'No
are based on my true fanboi'sm to the game "Homeworld" and the fanfic I write. See it as some sick narcissism of somebody who is psyched with his own writing.

Both names were made up and are Escort Frigates of the Kiith Amaji Navy. (Kiith = clan)

Following the concept of zerglings that come in pairs - These two always face missions together.
They belong to the Lance (Battleeroup) of the Vjel-Amaj - A Deep Space cruiser that is actually the protagonist (well, people too ;P).

USS Hjordal, Talon'Vo and other crazy names with apostrophes are from that fic respectively. I have a whole sack full of crappy names .

Name of my Fed char is based on a character of it too.

I just seen USS Carentan last night. This is funny because it's a Village a few KMs from my home

It is as well the place of a fight during battle of Normandy. I wonder if the guy is a fan of WWII history or just a guy who lives there.

As far as I am concerned, I chose to name my Escort ships after fierce creatures names created by Lewis Caroll :

USS Snark
USS Bandersnatch
USS Jabberwock

and the one i'ml flying now USS Vorpal Blade. A bit of culture in a world of violence
