Ok, slow day at work...have come up with the following to allow those to seek Science/Exploration to not be held back by those of us who like to kick arse!
The Andorian Imperial Guard is broken up into 3 branches:
Imperial Guard Central Command
Imperial Guard Science Division (attatched to the Andorian Science Institute)
Ahm Tal (Andorian Imperial Guard's intelligence Service)
Those within the Imperial Guard and Science Divisions hold equal rank as Guardsmen.
The ranking structure of the Imperial Guard is:
These ranks hold no relation to Starfleet commissions
Central Command is made up of 7 Generals, known as the Council of Seven. The Council of Seven are:
Lord General - Head of the Central Command and overall leader of the Imperial Guard
Thir'General - Second of the Central Command and overall deputy leader of the Imperial Guard
Science Division - Two Generals in Command of the Science Division including both exploration and providing additional security to the Imperial Guard through technological advancement and the additional benifits of Science ships
Imperial Guard - Two Generals in Command of the Imperial Guard's combat operations. Cruiser Captains, the Imperial Guard's Combat Generals are responsible the majority of standard combat using convential weapons and ships.
Ahm Tal - General in Command of the Ahm Tal, the Andorian Intelligence Service. Commands the most advanced combat ships (Escorts) and responsible for the maajority of heavy and advanced combat
All 7 Generals are responsible for recruitment. No action can be taken without majority agreement by the Council. Whilst the Lord General and Thir'General are the most superior ranks, they hold no veto over the other Councilmen, it is equal.
The point of this is just to devide everything up people can do what they want (explore, fight etc) and so if we get in a fleet action we know that the Science Division Generals will ensure that they are using buffs, that the Ahm Tal generals are ensuring that Science vessels are protected and using their advanced weapons to pack a punch, and that the Guard Generals are using their Cruisers to maximum effect in all round combat. Its not rigid and by no means should you be worried about it, its just to ensure in PvP, fleet actions etc everyone knows what they're doing and who is reponsible for what...
If its ****** tell me and I will change it...if not, once we're all sorted, the first 7 will get to choose what they want to do...
Fleet formation followed by a jolly around space! Went out for a bit, came back, all met up on Teb's bridge, jollied around for a bit, then everyone online came aboard the flagship (USS Resolute) and we had a small social, even had some visitors from elsewhere! Then we all headed home to Andoria and messed about on the planet for a bit...trying to get some fleet features to work and attempting Ushaan, but don't think that feature is working yet!
All in all...if you're looking for a sociable, fun, engaging fleet with lots of team work and optional frequent meet ups then today proved that the Andorian Imperial Guard is for you!
