# 1 Exodus Fleet

Exodus Fleet is a federation based Star Trek Online (STO) fleet. We are a friendly, mature, social fleet who focus on enjoying the game we love and supporting each other. We know real life is more important than a game and don't pressure members to play for long hours; we hope that if real life takes you away from the game for a time, that you can tell us.

At ExF we don't have hefty restrictions and conditions for membership, we are an inclusive fleet and if you can speak English, behave in a mature manner and have a team spirit then you are welcome to join us. We aren't here to tell you what hours to play and what programs to use. We communicate via our Ventrilo server heavily and prefer members to use it, though we don't require you to if you really don't want to. With Ventrilo we have "text chat" similar to MSN where you can message us if you are shy or don't have a microphone.

I Would just like to take this opportunity to congratulate our very own Ensign Huntsig for completing the well renowned "Toughguy" contest in order to raise money for the charity Help for Heroes, who raise money to help members of the armed forces who have been wounded in service.

For further information, check out our news post on our main page http://www.exodusfleet.co.uk

It's also still not too late to donate to this great cause and sponsor him http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/samdoestoughguy

Once again, a very well done

A Big welcome to all of our new members so far this week, and we're always on the look out for more friendly, fun and active people to join. We accept players from all over the world, as long as you are able to speak English to a suitable level and able to conduct yourself maturely.

Ensign Huntsig's fund-raising total currently stands at 298.00 raised with 43.16 extra from gift aid. If you choose to show your support and are a UK Citizen, remember to click for gift aid so the government will take the tax off that money and add it to the cause. We're also looking into running a few fleet charity events through-out the year.

If you have any questions about us, or would like to pop in for a chat and get to know us before you make your decision, Feel free to pop by our website and we can get you access to our Vent server and forums.

Look forward to hearing from you all soon

Congratulations to our new "acting" department heads:

Kochanski (Kate) - "acting" Department Head for Public Affairs

Blueplain (Dean) - "acting" Department Head for the Academy

Huntsig (Sam) - "acting" Department Head for Tactical

I am sure you will support them all in their new role.

We will be launching another secondary department - Roleplaying:

The department will be responsible for organising events, such as alt night. Seeking feed back from members about what events they want, when they want them and what they thought of past events.

We are still looking for people to join our secondary departments, you can apply for a leadership position (Science & Roleplaying depts. need Department Heads still) or you can join as a regular member. The command staff are jointly looking after departments with no assigned leader atm, so it is not an issure if you want to join a secondary department with no current leader.

We have just launched our awards system:

There are 3 forms of awards - ribbons, medals and trophies (trophies are awarded for competitions and you will see details on the site when we announce our first competition) There is a menu to view the awards in the fleet information menu, you may view what the awards look like and why they are awarded.
