Fleet's are terribly lacking many options such as:
  1. Only able to make 7 Fleet Ranks.
  2. Inability to contact all of your Fleet members unless they are logged on and reading Fleet Chat.
  3. Inability to limit the number of items that may be removed a day, not just the amount of Credits.
  4. Inability to meet with your fleet members.
  5. Inability to gather Fleet members into the same instance.

Possible Solutions (By Problem #):
  1. Add an interface for creating unlimited ranks.
  2. Add a button for being able to "Mass Mail" using the in-game mailing system.
  3. Adding an interface for full customization of each ranks access to the Fleet Bank.
  4. Allowing the "Warp To" button to work when a person is in a publicly accessible area, and showing it on the Fleet Roster.
  5. Having the ability as a Team Leader to create an instance for yourself under Change Instance.

Also anyone experiencce the problems with setting fleet permissions, it changes all ranks

Yes, you have to click the rank, click Information then back to Settings, then repeat for each rank. I reported the bug already.

I agree that 3 and 4 are problems. (4 is a problem of 'meeting quickly', not simply 'meeting'.) I agree with the proposed solutions for 3 and 4.

For the rest:
1. I think 7 ranks are sufficient. If anything, possibly too many.

2. Mass mail is high potential for spam. I use my own Fleet's web site (forums and webmail) for mass static communication.

5. Creating brand new instances for just a few players seems very wasteful, especially given our current server load problems. I never have a problem joining instances with my Fleet members; the Change Instance window lists the instances that have friends and Fleet members. I specify an Instance# in Fleet Chat, and we all go there. Simple.

(The game also seems to prioritise or default you joining an instance that already has friends/Fleet members. At least, this is what I have experienced.)

1. - 7 Ranks may be okay for you, but definitely not a properly organized fleet with a true heiracrhy.

2. - Not possible, if restricted to Fleet Members only.

5. - Absolutely not -- If you've ever tried to get more than 2 people into a Deep Space Encounter during a peak hour it's almost impossible. It is imperative for Fleet's to be able to play together with ease, otherwise it defeats the purpose of a fleet.

This needs to be fixed quickly. There are many Fleets running around with half-a**** permissions because the current system is broken.

I'd like to re-iterate that they also need to remove item value from the Withdrawal limit. If I want to allow a Rank to remove Rank I gear, they require a minimum of 2500 Fleet Energy credits. I am not giving someone access to 2500 Fleet Credits when as a small fleet we're only just building our reserves.

1. Thank you for implying that my Fleet is not properly organised or has no true hierarchy.

2. How is it not possible to use a private web site's webmail or forum to communicate en masse between and to members only? There are many guild hosts out there that offer these services for free. (Unless you are saying that spam is not possible in-game if restricted to Fleet members only, in which case, I understand, and still say that this suggestion is not necessary.)

5. If you are trying to enter a Fleet Action with Fleet members, simply form your team ahead of time and then have the leader enter and everyone else follow. Works fine for me. If you are sharing an episode or mission, again, form the team ahead of time, have the leader enter first, and everyone else should have the option to 'Continue' (or will automatically join you upon entering).

LOL fixing fleet issues is like fixing guild issues in eq2 or wow.. they have MUCH more important bugs to fix before the move on to adding new features to the game..

I don't doubt they will list and maybe implement something.... but don't hold your breath... will probably take them at LEAST 3-4 weeks
