Yes another rage thread but this is semi rage.

Cryptic really need to get a decent "Warning" system or announcement system going. Lets take WoW for example( Not a WoW ***) They atleast have a system where they will tell you, "The server will be going down for xxxx" amount of time. With STO it just drops out and says we are not allowed to play. Then after the STO servers are down we get no news from cryptic about why they are down, at least blizzard will tell you why servers are going down.

To have a warning system, you have to actually know when the servers are going down. My guess is they didn't...

But ... The very name of the company, "Cryptic", is a warning on it's own, isn't it ?

Amazing, just... wow. it is so mind blowing how ignorant people can be.

I tried installing a system to warn me about unexpected crashes, but got a nasty viisit from the Department Of Temporal Investigations.

This was definitely an unplanned outage.
