Unlikely you would 1v1, he could hug you and still shoot whereas your cannons would have very little time on target, I've been doing that to stop some of the klingons shooting me but there's only so long you can hold out still.

I've been able to take the BoPs quicker than they take me head on using cannons on miranda, they aren't tougher feds are just newbs, this will change over time.

I'm very often the only fed healing or healing much and have gotten higher healing than other feds damage, as well as doubling or more their damage using cannons.

Obviously not, most of the ones that agree were though.

It's not just T1, otherwise I could agree with you. The advantage of the BoP in T1 is picking where and when to strike. Cloak comes in handy.

I was in CB and OB and I disagree, because I know what the problem is and you don't.

Wouldnt be able to do that, if its a cruiser you can turn inside of it and still get hits. If its a science ship, you can disengage after the initial volley and continue to slam the hull down. If its a escort, it'll be a face fight, whoever does the best balancing act wins.

Well I haven't made it to T2 yet so I can't comment there, but I'd be surprised if we're over powered there at all to be honest. I haven't heard of any BoP changes since open beta and T2 wasn't exactly easy. I will hold judgement until I get there though.

Every time I try to play the game the server is down for 3 hours so I haven't been able to make it far with what little klingon content there is.

Yes I disagree with you and nearly everyone else who does was in CB and OB. We've spent most of our time since mid Dec on the Klink faction since that is when it was released to beta (iirc) so we've been PvPing and building our builds for over a month. Most of the posters I see in here who are Klink players were CB players.

Does this make us elite? No, but it does mean we understand the game better than anyone who just came in on Friday.

SO how does that apply to someone like myself, who has been in CB and OB, saying there is an issue with the BoP in particular?

The only differnces between a T2 BoP and a T2 Escort is the BoP has a battle cloak, LESS armor, LESS Shields, better turn rate, ONE LESS BOff station and the 3 BOff stations are universal. In other words, the BoP squishier than the Federation Escorts with less BOff powers for that battle cloak and better turn rate.

Comparing the T1 BoP to Escorts is like comparing apples to a void since there is only 1 type of ship in T1 for both sides. An Escort class for the Klingons and a Light Cruiser class for the Federation. Oh and you can put cannons on that Lt Cruiser, or at least you could in OB, I haven't tried since head-start started.
