I just want an official Cryptic head to come onto the boards and admit that the game isn't ready for release. I know it won't happen since then they'll be admitting that they made a mistake.
I hope the Atari executives get the boot out the door for this deadline they pushed on Cryptic.
The irony of all this is that if the servers cant handle headstart population and the current US / EU server load is too great.. what you think will happen when its retail .. sad but true , if its the load thats doing this we will probably have to see this alot more before we see it alot less..
Theres a difference between critising when its appropriate and critisising at every opportunity. Its got nothing to do with being a cryptic apologist, and if you have any experience of MMO launches you would know that, rather than lashing out at people who have more experience than to irrational exclaim how things are unacceptable. Which is entirely subjective.
Tarka...I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here.
I'm not jumping all over Cryptic for bugs within the game. I actually like the game.
But Open Beta is the period when you're supposed to stabilize your servers and test them under load. The time to do that is *not* after your paying customers start to arrive.
Just because almost every MMO has troubles after launch does *not* mean that it is an excusable behavior. This comes from rushing a product out to launch without actually being prepared or putting it under proper test conditions before launch. Period.
Just can't wait to see what happens when people decide to buy the game when it release Feb 2nd and they find out server goes under maintenance 3times a day for 3hours.

My guess is that Cryptic are runnign around like headless chickens trying to fix the issues now, before Tuesday arrives.
