appearently not.

ok, time to swallow your pride cryptic...lets be honest, you have never had a game with
this much strain per player and this many players before.

Your multi shard design cannot cut it.

......... Time to create MULTIPLE servers.

you engine will work fine when you stop killing with the HUGE player loads. That is why wow are
100+ servers...so they work.

The one server to rule them all was a nice plan on paper...time to adjust the plan.

He's right to an extent. A couple of weeks ago they posted that they had no idea that so many people were going to preorder or even be interested, and they stated they had ordered new hardware and had an "emergency rush" put on it. It's clear that hardware has not arrived yet. I fear the game in going to be crashing all of February, and then no one will sub by the time they get it straightened out unless they give us free play time to compensate.

A shard is multiple servers running in the background, it autodirects players to different servers depending on the instance and tries to spread them evenly. There is some extra software involved but the hardware remains the same, essentially.

The poster is right, if it's this bad with just pre-order people playing imagine what will happen Tuesday when everyone is playing.

It couldn't handle beta. They upgraded after their lifetime's cash influx.
Can't handle head start.
_______ handle launch.

Fill in the blank yourself. It's not Rocket Science to know it's going to be a lag-crash-a-thon all day on launch.

Cryptic know what they are doing and dont need someone like you to come in and start crying and telling them what to do.
