# 1 Best build for time travel?
01-31-2010, 02:33 PM
I read something about limited time travel and I wasn't sure if it's linked to a skill ability or a job. Or perhaps it's pseudo-timetravel where it's mission-based and just declares it to be whenever. I hope it's some sort of deflector-emitted tachyon burst.. Any knowledge out there?

I don't know about time travel but you can get Chroniton weapons that slow enemies down...that's about as close as you're gonna get to time travel

Time travel is limited to missions only. So far I have only had one mission that takes you back in time. Just as you say, when you go on the mission it basically says "you have been transported back in time to the year XXXX". Stuff happens and then you get transported back into the current timeline. Those are the limits of time travel, there are no skills or abilities that allow you to do so.

It was from some interview, it was about upcoming additions to the game... I believe they mentioned 3 eras you can travel to. I'm not sure if science or engineering is the way to go for that, like to ferry people through time.

Is this so we can travel forward in time to the end of the login queues?

And you accept gameplay the way it is?? Imagine if combat was relegated to a text window stating, "you have just defeated the entire Klingon empire by yourself (again), now go complete the difficult task of talking to three NPCs separated by mere seconds of travel time."
