Admirable as your blind devotion is, you do realize that this type of thing was what Open Beta was supposed to shake out, don't you?

A server needs 48 hours to set up, therefore persevere.

If you can't wait for 48 hours, then not even God can help you.

It's cryptic's fault for not realizing how popular the Star Trek universe is. The popularity is a blessing and a curse for Cryptic.

What ISN'T cryptic's fault however, is that they don't have a replicator and a magic wand, cuz this is what your all expecting of cryptic right now. If your not happy with not being able to expect the impossible, then by all means, quit.

There are enough fanatic trekkies to keep the game going. Whiners need to quit so they stop clogging up the servers.
I'm curious where you got 48hours as a number to build a server. I've built many a server in an corporate setting and I've never seen one take that long to build. A couple of hours for the OS and base files, some configuration which I'm sure is standard across all their servers and then voila....your done.

Not sure why people think we give a **** if there quitting and have to share it with the entire forum like they were some special child, that, without them the game will not be the same or something.

Players in headstart have witnessed repeated (and sometimes lengthy) unscheduled downtimes, random disconnects, and now a queue system that has them waiting for extended periods to even enjoy the game. It's hard to have confidence that things will be better in two days when they've failed to anticipate player demand for just the portion of pre-order players.

How can their entire team of STO designers/etc NOT know a 40+ year old epically popular series that hallmarked(along with SW) science fiction as mainstream entertainment, would generate numbers in the thousands? (esp after the box office numbers from the recent film)

That's like microsoft saying "I didn't know computers would be so popular" on vista's launch.

pure stupidity and nothing more saying they didn't know....the entire WORLD knew.

They already told us they did this in beta, and that they would arrive and be setup within the week....

That was three weeks ago...
