Star Trek Online is currently down for emergency maintenance. We are expecting this downtime to last no more then 1 hour 30 minutes. Upon completion of the maintenance, this message will be updated accordingly.

I've been keeping a pretty good humor about this, but we really are going to begin needing more than just these obtuse messages.

Hopefully the queues will be fixed. I was 20 out of 2000 for 30 mins, a friend of mine joined the queue after me at 600/2000 and somehow got ingame before me. Not to mention the wait is ridiculous...

Cryptic Rehpic on the IRC channel said the downtime is to apply a serverside patch for fixing crashes and fix database transfer slowdowns.

his exact words were:

<Cryptic_Rehpic> Yes, it will be server side patch to fix the earlier crashes and some transaction stalls

I agree, these vague messages leave me with a feeling that things are going terribly wrong and make me fearful for having purchased a lifetime membership .

"No more THAN." If you're going to be a jerk and tell us absolutely nothing, you could at least attempt to have the grammar faculties of someone who has completed second grade.
