# 1 Cryptic HQ, right now
01-31-2010, 05:10 PM
I can just imagine Cryptic HQ right now. Desks on fire. People fighting each other too the death. The servers in the background, in the process of exploding. Some guy reading the forums while cutting himself. The CEO in his office amid all the chaos counting his lifetime subscription money. The developers committing ritualistic suicide. While the rest of the employees are taking turns crapping on the star trek IP.

Or

There all at home doing nothing and not caring about the game at all.

I don't know which ones worse...

Words cannot adequately describe how ridiculous your post is.

I only wish I had the few seconds back it took to read it, reject it as patent rubbish and make this reply.

It's highly probable that this situation isn't the dev team's problem. Well, not directly anyway.

Most likely, the execs forced it to launch because of contractual commitments, marketing capital outlay, and retail obligations.

I would bet a pile o'cash that the devs have been saying "we're not ready" for weeks now.

Unfortunately, execs don't tend to look at the well-being of community as a way to make money. They're usually focused on the short-term obligations instead...and that usually results in rushed launches like this.

btw...the OP is probably close to truth. Inside the heads of the devs anyway.
