I've seen it happen.. NOt sure what weapon or setup it was.. but there are a couple BoPs out there that laugh at cruisers 1v1.

nothing special, they have 100% weapons and no torpedos and use all CDs in one go, and they use weapon battery to go with it.

so they burst a lot and if they fail (you turn your facing) they loose.

Hah, I laugh at this when I'm in a cruiser. Turning your facing against a BoP, pff.

i'd say all that has happened is the klingons appear to have passed the learning curve (for the most part) and feds haven't.

People who have headstart but didn't participate in the beta are most likely fed, everyone starts out as a fed, you can't even be a klingon, so basically you have 2 choices you can be

1. the team your forced to start as, the team that represents the heroes of star trek, and the team which you've already invested time in and gotten gear for.
2. the other team

the end of beta event, pvp ques, it all points to the obvious FEDS MASSIVELY OUTNUMBER KLINGONS, but klingons have some advantages not least of which due to that.

They mix pve & pvp and we don't, i play PvP CONSTANTLY is it any wonder the hardcore pvper who doesn't consider pvp to part of the game but the only game he plays is better than the someone who does it sometimes.

the lack of numbers means (and here i'm guessing but it's not an unwarranted guess) that while we may get less players we get alot less noobs, in general I wouldn't be suprised if most of the klingon players were also beta players (had a greater experienced to noob ratio than feds). So we've got a curb going for us, and our noobs pvp more than your noobs.

look there are really only 2 tactics used in tier 2

fed ball
klingon hit and run

the hit & run is a better tactic, but it takes more coordination, if feds teamed up with tractor beam spam and science teams healing left and right they'd have a better run. They come out of pve for awhile and face teams that, and i'm not kidding on this.
This game may not have an auto team feature for pvp but if your klingon it might as well. If it's not me myself sending a team invite to the others, it's because i'm accepting a team invite, we team up and focus fire constantly and nobody questions it.
We all run BoP's because we all know it's the only ship to use, you can always rely on one fed whose silly enough to run escort, probably because he doesn't know better, probably because he is new, which means he is even more vunerable than normal.

wait until tier 3 or 4, eventually experience will matter less and less, your first 10 hours of pvp you will learn alot more than your 90-100th, you will have people experienced enough in general to know what to do, it'll even out.

Heals barely help against the amount of DPS klings can put out. I had a match with one kling at 130k. Closest fed was at 90, but the average was 30k. That guy quadrupled our own DPS counts on average, and their average was more around 80k since they also had one at 90k. It is surprising I can tank as long as I do with T2 shields.

Umm...Some Fed guys are going to complain untill they win every match, everytime. Thats just the facts. They want easy mode and no amount of logical argument will break them of that.

Something to consider: Fed players play less PvP, a lot less in most cases. They want to be "balanced" for thier lack of experince. They want easy mode. It matters little to them that organized experinced Feds dominate the battlefield because they don't play Klingon for the most part, and they have no idea what it is really like.

Human beings have a hard time with perspective. They are essentially selfish, they only see what they want to see. Untill Feds play PvP as klingons (cause most of us Klingons have played Fed in this way) into T3 or more, little of what they qq about has any validity. They are simply ignorant of the facts. I know that if I took a group of experienced Klingon's in Fed ships into PvP we WOULD DOMINATE THE KLINGON'S SOOO HARSH. This is just the cold hard truth.

In T2 Feds win about 60-70% of the time. We get to play so many matches that we get to see far more of what is really going on then most feds do, seeing as IT'S ALL WE GET TO DO.

If you can tank 5 BoP and your complaining that you can't; basically there is no reasoning with you. No BoP can withstand 5 ships on him, let alone three. So why is it that fed think that this should be possible?? It baffles the mind..

Actually, with forward cannons / torp and mines in the back you can use the mines to great effect.

Uncloak, rapid fire, mine pattern beta, drop mines, drop enemy shields with cannons

12 mines arm and head towards enemy's unprotected hull.

Mines are also useful when you are stuck in a turning fight.

Did noone on your team have tractors? The guy is using 45 degree weapons. Tractor, hit his engines, etc. Limit his mobility and move.

It's completely unbalanced because when one side has permanently invisible ships and the other does not there is no strategy for the side that can't do that. They can just all huddle together and wait for the enemy to attack, they can never do anything agressive or active, just cluster up and hope for the best. Once you get seperated from your group on Federation side its over, you will just get ganked again and again, while Klingons never have to worry about being ganked because Cryptic was dumb enough to give them a cloak but remove all possible counters to it.
