# 1 Absurd Missions

Some of these exploration missions are downright absurd... not so much in the premise of the mission story, but the actions you have to take...

Scan all the non-corporeal entities? Without waypoints to find the nearly invisible entities? Then it turns out the last one is back at the beginning of the map, behind where you started?

Scan the Computer? Fight a ton of bad guys who are there for no apparent reason (even by the storyline of the mission), and then scan another computer? Now scan another computer, back at the beginning of the map??

Basically, it's just annoying me no end having to spend five minutes running back across maps to get the last item, for no apparent reason but to make the mission take five minutes longer.

Really makes me appreciate the constant "scan five anomalies" missions. That seems a bad sign to me, that I am relieved when I come across a mission with no storey, no fight, no planet landing, even, I just spend 60 seconds flying around gathering up some extra anomalous materials. All of these other exploration missions are downright tedious.

it's not that the missions are bad, they just need to added some interesting stuff to it.

example. there is a scan mission where my tac officer say it's near an indigenous settlement, and to be careful. would it make the scan mission if you had to hid from wandering groups of these people. ( lets hope they make the move randomly ) and if they come across you, you fail the mission. or even better if they added the option to talk you're way out of it. ( mess up, and it mite end in bloodshed, and failure of mission. )

Ha, I just got one of these missions... I am once again running aroudn the deserted landscape looking for 4 items, just like the non-corporeal entity mission, except this time, the scanner is actually working, and pointing me to the next object.

By the way, the trees with lava flowing down them are a rather interesting feature of this particular planet...

Anyways, I've been thinking the same thing through this mission, where are these indigenous peoples I am supposed to be avoiding???
