I have, like all users, experienced some issues playing this game. I won't get into the details as it's been done ad nauseum, but there is usually two sides of the "posts" (more like debates) when I see people posting about this stuff. A lot of the responses to people complaining are, "It's an MMO launch", and leave it at that..
I have never been part of an MMO launch, but my question is this: What will happen between the end of the head-start and release day that will change alll of the issues? Is that an unrealistic standard? There is a feeling of "once release day hits" floating around the boards that suggest the issues will be fixed. When I say issues, I mean the MAJOR issues, not the small bugs that are "normal" for an MMO launch.
More than likely nothing will happen. Launch day will come, new officers will join us and life will go on. They will fix the bugs people are having eventually and in the interim introduce a whole new slew of them for other people to discuss reasonably. Of course on the other side of the coin they could drop a launch day patch that changes the entire game and totally throw us all for a loop. Who knows, that's part of the fun of being around at launch.
