roll a Klingon, go do T2 PvP vs Feds and when you face a team of 4-5 Cruisers come tell us that we win, its not even possible atm.

Cruisers are a joke in T2, we dont have em so we cant soak long enuff to actualy kill any of them and thats the damn thruth.

Klingons deserve to be overpowered in PvP; the rest of the game is crap for them.

Now the problem here is Fed ships are slow and can't turn out of a Bop's firing radius w/out emergency maneuvers or tractor beam. True, an escort could match, but an escort cannot take as much of a beating...

Sure, ya'll have the same weapons, but I cannot put cannons on my Science vessel, and a cruiser could never turn on a BOP to get a shot off. My [CAP] shields are down after 1 volley of heavy disruptor cannon fire... but there isn't even a dent put in by the same mark set of beam arrays. Cannons are a bit overpowered imo... fix the cannons, and you fix the pvp, either that or beef up fed cruiser and sci vessel shields

I don't have a problem with Klings hiding in cloak, besides that there needs to be a time cap on deathmatch maps to keep Klings from permanently hiding in cloak. I just feel that cannons are the end all in combat, and that you can't compete without them.
Interesting point about escorts... Klingon Bop - average hull around 12k (ish) at t2, and 3k shields... Fed escort average around 18 - 20k hull and 3.5k shields... or at least the Fed escorts i know and have played against - hull is easy - its on character info - which we look at on every player when picking firing order.

Cannons fall off is 5k, a cloaked klingon has to get that close in order to deal full damage, however we risk detection from 'hunter builds' at around the 7 - 8k mark...

What the OP describes coincides with what I experienced in many areas.

That being said.

I do not think the Klingons need nerfing, instead I think the feds need Buffing in a couple key areas.

Since the Klingons have Burst Damage, maybe the Feds need to have better Shields, this way there are strengths on both sides and weaknesses on both sides.

Right now it seems that all the cards are stacked on one side, Flexibility with BO's, Superior maneuverability, Superior Firepower, Superior Shields...and a Cloaking Device on top of it Don't you think something is not right here, and to bundle it all the experienced players play Klingons too, however this is not an issue as it is only a matter of time before Feds get better at playing the game, so the Player Skill factor will equalize itself in time.

For now, I am off to play I really enjoyed the PvP even if I lost all arenas.

yes, they soak but don't deal much DPS nor do they really maneuver well. They trade off damage taking ability and support abilities in place of damage dealing and movement. Logical, isn't it?

Ya ground pvp is about even except for the crappy queues that let one side outnumber the other 3:1.

T1 is a bit stupid easy for Klingons. Their ships are built like T2's with good gear.

T2 hits Klingons in the face due to two quests Feds get for blues. Especially those huge blue shields.. which I still use at level 30 :-p T2 is the time for Feds to shine :-p From what I saw before atleast

T3 It is a bit more even with Klingons having advantage in Deathmatch team zones because of cloak.

T4 Klingon ships are quite superior to their Fed coutner parts in this Tier for some reason. Atleast in beta it was like this... before the Klingon "buff"

T5 Well I was there in beta, but no one ever freaken queued because the holds like viral matrix, and ground combat stuns made it too annoying for most to even bother trying.

There are more issues people would want to let on about at times. Klingons now sound like Feds on the forums in beta. Saying the exact same things and claiming nothing is over powered. However, now some are starting to admit it.

Cloak alone is an ultra powerful tool that not only allows you to hide from your enemy, but allows you to escape as well. Also it allows you to group up nearly uninterrupted, while a fed gets ambushed 50% of the time. Also it allows you to pick and choose when, where, and who you fight with knowing no Fed is going to pop out of cloak and ambush you. You can alway see it comming as long as your paying attention.

Three escorts kitted for volley damage supported by a science vessel and cruiser kitted to be space cleric seems the best way for Feds to counter 5 BoPs.

One or two escorts just feeds us points, because we'll alpha him and leave the field. Three is the best number to keep your volley damage high, to make sure you're causing as much pain as you're receiving.

130k damage should not be possible by one person in T2 PvP, yet it just happened and my team was flying ALL cruisers and we lost anyways. Don't see why people are having such a hard time with cruisers. Our team was even well coordinated and we still lost.

Well I never even tried T2 in release. Sucks to hear the feds cant shine here either

I just looked at the pvp in T1 and laughed and said never again. See you in T5 if anywhere.

My post was mainly explaining what it was in Beta.

Suraknar, weren't you earlier today asking basic questions about the game? What sudden burst of insight has overcome you?
