Question, what are the commodites used for? I couldnt equip them and they really dont seem to have much value.

When in the exploration missions? I have done the first two zones, and never needed em.

Sometimes you go to an exploration planet and they'll ask for 10 provisions or something...

Generally, it's faster, cheaper & easier to just dump their mission and go to a different system. They need to up the reward since you're out 400-1000 energy credits (selling 10 you found vs. buying 10) from doing one of these missions.

Theres your answer. Basically if you have half a brain, they are vendor junk.

At the end of open beta the quests for the commodities were broken anyways.
