# 1 Fleet Action Reward System

After Playing OB and making my way through a decent amount of content since Head start has begun, I believe something needs to be done about the fleet action reward system. Currently, only the highest DPS (AKA 95% of the time an escort) will receive the best loot rewards. I have been bothered by this for some time, but it was not until today when I did the "Crystalline Entity" Fleet action only to stumble upon 2 or 3 escorts just pre popping mines where the mob spawned.

As an eng cruiser player myself, I believe something needs to be changed so player classes other than escorts have access to the top loot from fleet actions. Now, I'm not saying Nerf escorts and buff cruisers or sci, I'm saying incorporate another way to track positive progression in Fleet Actions. Possible examples could also be

Damage Taken
Healing Done
Most Groups Initially Agroed
Ect.

I hope the Devs take some time to look into this balancing issue and that players can brainstorm other better ways to do this.

I agree, something must be done. It was the same way in Champions Online and I was worried it would be same here too. This is simply really bad game design, I can't understand why something hasn't been done about it (perhaps it is a technical issue?).

I agree ( as an escort player, always been a dps kinda guy ) that the fleet reward system is totally unfair and needs looking at. ( more rewards over different criteria would be my suggestion. A blue for each ship [and the top] class in the fight )

I do disagree that aggro needs rewarding. Any idiot can aggro mobs and it's nothing that should be be rewarded.

I wonder if it's possible for the Rewards engine to detect the class of ship you're captaining, and have 3 seperate rewards...

You know, best Escort, best Cruiser, best Light Cruiser, and best Science vessel all get a rare drop...

*ponders*

Eh, that many blues would probaby dent the growing economy...

Maybe there could be multiple top loot prizes based on classes. i.e. - Top escort, top cruiser and top science vessels all get the rarest and so on and so forth instead of lumping all classes into one big group.

I'd like to get more than an X Battery for being in the middle of the pack. I managed to come out in first place in a couple of FAs, and in both cases got a blue Rare console. The first time in OB was a 11% all-energy resist, and in the headstart I got a 4.5% shield regen.

Oh gods, a battery for participating?

But was likely done to discourage AFK rewards...

yeah....I will be forced to buy an escort just to win items.... Would love a revamp on the system. Hell copy and paste WH PQ system. I would rather deal with the odds of a roll over the current setup.
