You want to buy go ahead, otherwise keep your comments to yourself. I posted the website so Cryptic can go after the source and not just the smugglers!!!!!!!!! This must be your first MMO. I have helped many games catch Gold Farmers and Mass Account Sellers!
I just wanted to add a quick note that very soon we will be adding the ability to report players for spamming/gold farming directly from the forums and web site. We are testing this functionality now and will be adding it very soon.
We are also working on more things to implement that will be seamless to the players but willl help the GMs out tremendously.
I will be adding updates as I get them. By working together we can help fight this and make your playing experience better.

One request to add to this. Could a reported spam be put on a different ignore list, that isn't limited? If the player ignore list is limited, and all the spammers clog it up, it can be a pain when there are legitimate ignored players on the list getting scrolled off.
**** did this a while ago, but apparently something went wrong, and they accidentally perma-banned a large portion of their playerbase because of some problem with the program they used to track buyers/sellers.
I still have my account (although I'm not actively subbed at this time), but several of my friends got banned from there as a result of the problem.
If you guys at Cryptic decide to do this, please make sure to just get those responsible and not innocents somehow haha - I imagine it's been more than a headache for NCSoft, and I would hate to see it repeated here.
That being said - it is a MAJOR relief to know that you guys are on top of this issue, and will fight to retain a proper game economy, once again kudos to Cryptic indeed
A lot of **** players got hacked and it continues to happen. If you haven't played for a while I suggest to verify if your NCSoft master account is still YOURS. Both my wife's and my accounts were hacked. Guild Wars accounts passwords changed and **** password is changed. Can't reset the password since they have adjusted security questions. Fraking NCSoft. This time there is WAY TO MANY people got hacked to blame some porn link, which neither my wife nor I ever clicked. Our PCs are secure, we are behind the hardware firewall and we never got hacked ever before. I hate those morons who did it or who exposed the NCSoft database to hackers. Thing is that all the hacked accounts were converted into gold sellers...
So be careful people. That is if you still value your identity.
I know STO doesn't have an addon system, but take a look at any of the WoW addons for blocking and reporting gold sellers (BadBoy is by far the best I've used) perhaps implementing something like one of these would be helpful?
I'm up for this too:

Really, is it so difficult to think ahead and consider this could be just one of the problems that result from such a policy?
Give us an option to set our in-game @name in the game and/or STO site options, and have a separate forum handle. It won't get rid of all credit spammers, but it sure would help.
