Good to see them taking a stance, but to the people quoting the emails directly i would suggest otherwise, i did this in a previous thread and unfortunately recieved an infraction for it, seems a little excessive. just a warning.
I'm showing 6 private messages here in the forums. I suspect it's all credit spam (clicking it says the mail system is currently down). I just deleted 9 credit spams from the messages noted at the top of the screen on the main site pages.
If there was a way to block messages in game that include URLs, that's kill a lot of it. There would be workarounds, but they have to list their site's name somehow or we can't find it, so there should be a way to parse what they are saying and kill the message.
Good to hear of the harsh penalty !!! i always been for banning those who buy as well as those who sell. seen way too many mmo economies get dragged to there knees because of this.
i believe this is now the 2nd mmo out there that is banning players for buying as well
just need all the other mmo's to follow suit then this menace will stop.
Played **** for a month, got banned for goldselling/buying even though i never did any such thing.
Unbanned a week later, along with a few thousand others, but it didnt matter. Didnt feel welcome anymore, stopped being fun at that point. And the goldspammers and sellers and bots now outnumber the players almost 2 to 1 lol.
Banning buyers is fine, but be VERY careful not to incorrectly ban innocent players, or the game will go the way of ****.
