The instant you clicked "Agree" to the terms and conditions and logged into the game you lost all rights to a refund... Enjoy your "liftime" access!
There I fixed that for you
MMOs are the ultimate "buyer beware"
theres no regulation, no fallback for youm no net to catch you.
If Cryptic were to fold up shop, none of us would be in the position to do anything about it
If you are so unsure about the product you bought why did you buy a lifetime sub BEFORE it came out ?..
and secondly.. if you really want to do a preemtive strike against it from now on you should move to germany.. if it isnt on the outside of the packaging it isnt legally binding and so you can get a refund nomatter what the eula/license agreement says
I imagine there is some degree of consumer protection with regards to refunds.
ONCE YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT ANY APPLICABLE FEES AND OTHER CHARGES FOR FEE-BASED SERVICES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES OR CRYPTIC POINTS) ARE NOT REFUNDABLE IN WHOLE OR IN PART. YOU ARE FULLY LIABLE FOR ALL CHARGES TO YOUR ACCOUNT, INCLUDING ANY UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES.
YOU FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE MONEY BACK FOR PREPAID TIME OR UNUSED CRYPTIC POINTS WHEN THE ACCOUNT IS CLOSED, WHETHER SUCH CLOSURE WAS VOLUNTARY OR INVOLUNTARY.
Sad for you, but that's just how it is...
Honestly though, who pays for a life-time subscription for a game they have not played long enough to see if they like it, just to try and cancel it the day before the game is released?
