So I have a virus that is preventing me from accessing servers outside of my network. As it relates to STO, I can't even get into the login server. What's worse is that my iTunes isn't acknowledged as a Win32 application, Norton Internet Security won't run, and I can't download any solutions from a server.

Anyone want to buy my computer?

Or at least help...

spybot search and destroy or if you know what the virus is just search for it on google lots of info on that sort of thing there. lots of times there is a way to remove them.

any of the following may apply...

go to a different computer and get a copy of hirans boot disk

go get your original CD and reinstall everything

identify the virus and get a remover for it

f8 during windows load and try and find a clean restore point

put your drive in a clean computer as a secondary drive and anti-vir it from there

really if you have no exp in this sort of thing, a restore (if possible) or a complete wipe is in order

Well, the end all and be all of opening a can of whoop arse on a virus is to re-instal windows. Assuming you've tried all the spybot/norton/ad-aware stuff that would probably be your best bet. Be warned though - it takes a good 9-10 hours for a full re-install.

can't access the mirrors.

I will be trying that restore point idea. if it fails I might commit to reinstalling windows. Thanks all
