Any chance of putting in a 5 second delay to switch between player primary and ground secondary weapons?

Played a PVP game yesterday. Apparently the enemy Kingons had a keyboard macro to fire their weapons in sequence.

Enemy would enter into view and use exploit attack using one weapon, then almost instantly fire the exploit attack from their secondary ground weapon. One was a hold weapon, the second a phaser. Usual result was instant disintegration.

Maybe, just possibly, you should try it out to see the mechanics before you whine about it.

No matter how fast any human can type or click the mouse, someone with a macro to fire, switch weapons, and fire will always be faster.

nope change nothing. You can switch is very quick yourself and opens up more possible tactics.

It's unintended that players would be able to fire two sniper shots back to back. We're considering a couple different fixes.

I've actually done this myself in pvp. There are a couple varying ways the first being using a stun phaser then sniper rifle with exploit or you can even do aoe use an aoe knockback expose then switch to the split beam aoe exploit. I've used that couple with aoe stun grenades even and you can insta gib a whole group when the right conditions occur.

It's a bad mechanic to allow us to use a special on another weapon after we use one on the other. Switching weapons doesn't need a cooldown it's the secondary special attack that needs to keep the cooldown.

Is it unintended that you could fire a low damage expose and then a high damage exploit back to back... or just the high damage exploit attacks?

Because the two are completely different in terms of use.

Fed players do it as well. You don't need a macro to do it, just keybinds. Press 2, press Z, Press 2. If you do it to quick, you'll have a longer wait time between shots. I would much rather them fix the special shots firing at a player who jumps behind cover. Cover should protect you, but the shot shouldn't fire if someone is behind cover or at the least it shouldn't count as a recharge.

he is talking about using two sniper rifles one in each slot so that you fire your exploite on one then switch weapons to your second sniper and fire the exploite on that one.
