I think aside from MES and RSP (both of which are not faction based issues) most Klinks have not complained about Feds being OP since the last week of Open Beta. Most Klinks have got their bearings and understand their roles now. This is not a game based on symmetrical parity there is asymmetry here.
Feds aren't overpowered, they are balanced. They have role-oriented ships that are middle of the road in every aspect.
The KDF have weak ships with cloaking, weaker ships with flexibility. The fight on both sides is fundamentally very different.
It's not 'balanced', it's mutually unfair. The trick to winning is to make sure that your unfairness is the one that determines the outcome.
Um, no. Feds should have tank + firing arc on their side while Klingons have manueverability, DPS and BOff flexibility. That is balance. Feds have one end of the stick, Klingons have the other. The only problem is Klingons also control battle flow with cloak, so they have the upper hand in many ways over the Feds. At least from my experience in several two hour matches of rapid de-cloak/cloak baiting. PvP needs a time limit... seriously.
In this channel, Klingons being too OP are the most debated topics being posted
Basically what I get from the Klingon response is that feds lack team-work. MES's strength was cut in half, so you will get detected from 10km away.
Now, I play Klingon, but when the final score shows up and Klingon damage almost always doubles everyone, I have to question whether its fair. I have rarely lost any FvK mathes, ground or space.
I don't see what the incentive for FED's to queue for PvP, and I see the system dying after the first month...

Not really debated per se, as being asserted repeatedly by new players.

The problem is that this is the "early" stages and to make assumptions this soon about balance have shown to have huge repercussions for the later stages.
Well in tier 1 the feds are pathetically outgunned. They can't even get through a BOPs shields unless they team up. Because they usually don't equip amazing gear by the time they get to the next tier.
Tier 2 on the other hand has the huge ratio disparity between ship classes. Klingons are still rolling around in their tissue paper escorts while the feds are starting to front a lot of cruisers and a decent amount of science ships keeping you from cloaking.
Nothing the feds have is intrinsically overpowered compared to the Klingons, but we still just need our cruiser to make it even again.
That's all. Waiting on the tier 2 Klingon cruiser.

Most likely there will be alot of nerfs coming though
