"Login failed for unknown reason" error

Slow patching in the launcher
A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
So my launcher started downloading the new patch but stopped around 5% of the way and now all it says when I try to get in is Version Mismatch and it wont let me re download the patch. How can I fix this
It happened to me too but fortunately I had made a backup (copy) of the entire game folder 2 patches ago. I usually do this after patches until I am sure that the game is stable. So all I had to do was to overwrite the corrupt folder with the old, good one.
