.... Did you go to the ship selecter NPC downstairs and select the escort and then in the bottom right hand corner click the button that says "Make Current" ?

I'm starting to doubt that you did.

Maybe, but its what I thought from the way he's been posting. His OP had no information about what was going on and honestly, I'm willing to bet that he bought his escort and then didn't go down to the NPC on the first floor and switch his ship to his escort because he DOESN'T READ.

I'd put a lifetime membership on it.

Either that or he bought the wrong rank of escort.

I've just logged in since the most recent down time and patch. Now my ship flys backwards. it will go forward for awhilw and then it goes in reverse. During combat it hardly moves at all. Any Ideas?

1- Press PrtScn to make a screenshot of what you see. The default folder is:

C:\Program Files\Cryptic Studios\Star Trek Online\Live\screenshots

2- Once you have requested the ship, you actually have to go to the Shipyard and talk to the guy with the ship in the bubble over his head (Select Ship). You can then proceed to activate the new (or an older) ship, as well as transfer gears and equipment.

lol this reminds me of people submitting bug report because they didn't have their new ship in Closed beta; dude, this is a mmo, you actually end up having multiple ships parked in the hangars (for the comparison, I think in WoW they even give you an acheivement award for having more than 50 mounts).

Anyway, see you again, next time you play a video game make absolutely certain you actually read the instruction manual before you rage quit in a way that is funny to everyone else in the forums (and quite a good waste of forum space too).

Did you try hitting that button in the bottom right corner "Make Primary"? You may have. I don't know. But other folks had this same problem and didn't realize that clicking the tab on the side does nothing. Then they clicked that button "Make Primary" and it solved their issue.

And the GM is right. They're not allowed to give game tips, even on how to use the U.I. Their only job is to solve gamebust issues, like bugs and glitches, etc.

I hope this info is useful. If not, let me know and we'll get angry together, well, because I'm an angry gorilla, and it's what I do!

Reminds me of people posting "I'm quitting this game sucks!" topics and stating "I can't sit in game" as a reason...

... there are like 6 different sit animations if people actually took the time to explore the game.

Does it look like a stuttering effect? We call that "rubberbanding" and it may just be server lag.

Are you running any torrents or downloads?

I suspect somebody was picked on at school, or knows someone who was. It's ok, it's just a forum, it's not real. I suggest not making parallels to your real life with a video game forum, then flaming people. It will only lead to more flaming and you will lose.

Just sayin.
