# 1 Voth Shields - Cloaked Defiant
01-01-2014, 09:02 PM
I'm not sure if this happens with other ships that can cloak, but this is what happens when my Defiant cloaks with the Voth Shield visuals enabled:

Disabling the visuals makes the cloak look normal again.

MACO/Adapted MACO visuals also make the bussard collectors colored when cloaked. Probably bug.

Those aren't Voth shields, those are Dyson/Solanae shields.

Haven't tried cloaking on my Gallant-class with the Dyson shields yet.

That shield is the Dyson shield, not sure why he called it Voth shield.

Borg shields leave your ship with kinda a grid look but leave the borgie bits looking solid. It actually makes a much more subtle appearance than the bright blue framework of standard cloak.

Similar happens on ships doing MES. The Dyson shield does not go black like a basic ship hull does, it just stays the same. I've done it on my Recluse and Vesta. You can't even tell you activated MES.
Sometimes I think I play STO just to have stuff to rant about on the forums!
