Thanks SO MUCH for all your support, and we'll see you in-game!
That has to be some type of mistake, Ferengi were already available in Closed Beta as a species choice. They wouldn't put something up there that was already designed back in November/December and act like they've been working on it post development. Plus they already said they wouldn't sell something you couldn't already obtain in game.
Are you saying that Cryptic would never go back on their word? Are you saying perhaps that Cryptic won't change their minds at a moments notice and give no 'Decent' explanation?

Yes they would. Beta was about testing, not about playing the launch content for free. It was needed to test the ferengi customization.
What did you expect the store to be for? Levi's jeans?
I play a human, and I have most of the standard federation races availiable. It was stated very early on that there was going to be a store which would have more content for the game which you could purchase for real money.
So. Whatever they put on the C-store is now going to get a thread saying that it had to be free?
Regarding the priorities.
It is the purchaseable content. It was made already, but not availiable untill the store opened. They haven't spent the last weeks working on the Ferengi model.
Mentioned this is the other thread about this......why are the devs adding things like this instead of the content that is desperately needed?
Priorities???
Nope. Different teams. The people building mission content != the people developing character art and pieces, which is what you need to build alternate races.
It's easy to think of developers as an amorphous mass of talent you can apply in any direction, but it's not. They're specialists working on specialized fields within the game.
Add to that a certain amount of simplicity in this regard -- the Klingon was already implemented for the Klingon side and the uniforms are implemented for the Klingon Bridge Officers, and the Ferengi are implemented as Bridge Officers as well -- and this becomes relatively simple to put into place. An entirely new race -- Cardassians, say, which would need all the uniform options built and configured for them -- will take more time.

Hey thanks for being a real jerk.
No I didn't expect them to sell Levi's Jeans, who the hell wears Levi's jeans anyway? (Seriously, if a guy showed up on a date wearing Levi's, I would probably find an excuse to bail out of the date early.) I expected things that were designed after the game's launch to be on the store. Like the Caitian species they confirmed was in development for a later date, I already expected them to be a store purchased item. I didn't expect there to be species that are already developed in the game already. Klingons are already in game on the Klingon faction and Ferengi were in as well during beta and as NPC's.

and took it out to fix "graphics problems" was their reasoning behind Ferengi...Oh wait now that we see how many of you enjoyed Ferengi we will sell it to you.
